French Outreach (Mailbag IX)

Well, it appears that French efforts to control Iraq's postwar fate are winning them friends in the U.S., and my dad (a liberal Democrat, it should be noted) is among them.

Max,

I couldn't have possibly heard this correctly. The French supposedly said they would not go along with a plan for the US and the British to run Iraq after the war. Anyway, - next time I want to join you at the French Embassy. This may be the new definition of chutzpah. Forget the orphan thing. This one is even better. They don't live by their vote, take credit for the success (ha ha) of the inspections when they did their best to undermine them, basically tried to rally the world against us..... then.... after we put our soldiers lives on the line (and have already lost some), - they want to tell us what we should do or not do. FT!!!!!

Dad

Oops. Did I say "friends"? PaveFrance.com is proud of you, Dad.
