Frog killer Me thinks you protest too much
You list 100 American people or things to boycott
Think on it. I couldn't list a hundred things of France to boycott. I think America has infected you. We already rule your mind.
I looked through my cupboards for French product to toss in a symbolic gesture, couldn't find anything. Ha
The People of Britain thank France and Germany
Over 80% of British People agree with France and Germany
that we should allow more time for the weapons inspectors
to complete their work, and that George Bush and Tony Blair
should NOT attack Iraq without the mandate and support of
the International community.
Tony Blair does NOT speak for the British People on this issue. Repeated opinion polls have shown that between 80% and 90% support the French position, and are opposed to the British/American attack on Iraq without a 2nd mandate. The British and American armed forces are embarking on an attack on Iraq without the consent of the British public.
We, the majority of the British People, THANK France, Russia, China and Germany for their principled stand for time, as requested by the UN weapons inspectors. Please understand that Tony Blair does NOT represent the views of the British People. Please understand that we are deeply unhappy about George Bush's belligerent rush towards war, and his expressed willingness to ignore the United Nations.
We are not trying to support Saddam Hussein. However, we share a humanitarian concern for his young soldiers as well as out own. This concern extends to the children and families of Iraq who are about to undergo the trauma of bombing and invasion. We believe, as does the majority opinion of Europe and most of the world, that they deserve time for further diplomatic process, and they deserve our respect and the unified consensus of the WHOLE international community - not just the unilateral attack of three or four nations.
Thank you, France and Russia and others who have refused to be cowed by insults and implicit threats. You can know the calm strength of doing what is right, supported by the clear majority opinion of ordinary people in country after country throughout Europe and around the world.
Tony Blair is IN DEFIANCE of the democratic wishes of the people he "claims" to represent. He knows this. Opinion poll after Opinion poll documents this fact. When the British and American troops go in - in defiance of the international community - we, the British People, stand by France and Russia and all those who have represented our views.
In truth, there CAN be an ideal of a truly united nations. Tony Blair and George Bush have poisoned the institution by recklessly insisting on their own way and no-one else's. Now they choose to go in alone. But all round the world, there are ordinary people, who share a sanity and non-political conviction that this war is unreasonable in its haste, in its immediacy, in its abandonment of democracy and international process.
We, the majority of British People, stand by you and share your version of the United Nations. Is dropping bombs on Moslems the way to solve world terrorism? And if war is ever necessary, is the threat so immediate, that that war must start now? Against the wishes of the people, against the wishes of the nations, against the ordinary and innocent who want no war with them?
Killer , get a life, get a girl, get out of your mom's basement. Go outside, maybe burn a hummer or two.
Without France's moral, military & financial assistance...

So a twelve years of inspections not working (according to the UN) wasn't good enough for you?
By the way, we DID get a mandate from the UNSC, it's just that France and others refused to enforce that mandate and, like you, supported Saddam's interests over those of the US.
We, the majority of British People, stand by you and share your version of the United Nations. Is dropping bombs on Moslems the way to solve world terrorism?
And your plan would be? More of the same ineffectual UN policy? A couple million more deaths?
What is your answer, and remember it must be a realistic answer, not an already discredited (by hard reality) answer like "keep the inspections going" since all that did was allow hundreds of thousands to die and allow Iraq to continue to support terrorism. Not to mention it showed that the UN was unwilling to enforce its own resolutions.
It took the US and its allies to enforce UNSC resolutions in spite of the UN.
Bully for you.

Without France's moral, military & financial assistance during the reign of King Louis XVI (the very last heir of a 1,000-year-old French royal dynasty), the US would NEVER - I repeat - would NEVER have attained its independence.
True, and we all appreciate what the King of France did for us, though that has no bearing on the Republic of France. No matter the amount of cajolling and the lateness of their arrival or the war with France shortly thereafter we appreciate the King of France's efforts for us. So much so that we sent hundreds of thousands of our own to die for France early in the 20th century and sent more during the middle of the 20th century.
So hey, you're welcome.
Without independence provided by enlightened & generous France, embodied in the noble deeds of Lafayette, Rochambeau, de Ternay & de Grasse, there would have been no US Marshall Plan in 1945.
True, and without France's petty vindictiveness in 1921 there would have been no need for the Marshall Plan. Oh and more importantly without the US and Britain there would have been no Marshall plan.
In a act of unparalleled virtue, visionary acuteness & benevolent, obliging friendship, the Count of Rochambeau refused the sword of surrending Cornwallis offered by O’Hara, Cornwallis’ right-hand man. Instead Rochambeau let the defeated Englishman hand in the sword to his brother-in-arms, Washington.
You've got your facts mixed up, or are lying again.
O'Hara was beneath both Rochambeau and Washington (being Cornwallis's second in command) which is why he finally delivered Cornwallis's sword to Maj Gen Benjamin Lincoln, Washington's second in command. It was a point of protocol not some nobility or humility on the part of Rochambeau.
The French Republic designed, built, transported, erected and donated, at its own expense, the most endearing symbol of freedom and democracy this country and the World has ever known : la Statue de la Liberté (the Statue of Liberty), standing tall like France. This incredibly generous & precious gift, ironically, commemorated the 100th anniversary of the independence of the US "in recognition of the friendship established during the Unitedstatish Revolution" which independence could never have been achieved without the disinterested help of France & her people.
Yes and thank you again. It means a lot to the US. Again, so much so that we sent hundreds of thousands of our citizens to die to free France.
Of course it only took a few French citizens to deface the one in France.
Today a large majority of US citizens have opposed the Bush & neocons plan to perform their, undignified, greedy, oil war against the innocent Iraqis living a poor, devastated country.
Actually it was a minority, averaging about 20%. And we made it clear that we waged war on the regime, though you continue to lie about that part too. Unless you didn't know that at which point you'd simply be uninformed.
This World spirit was personified by Chirac & de Villepin, true friends of the US people in times of foolishness.
So more Americans had to die because these "true friends" supported Saddam's interests over American interests? You have a warped definition of 'friend.'
By the way, exactly why did France finally ally itself with the US? Do you remember?
The French made a dual alliance with the US supporting France if it should go to war with Britain. Four months later France went to war with Britain. Conveniently forgotten is that France allied with America as part of its war effort on Britain.
February 1778 France and the US allied. That year D'Estaing's fleet failed to enter New York, failed to take Rhode Island then sailed to the West Indies to defend French interests there. Almost two and a half years after entering into treaty with the US 5,500 French soldiers under Rochambeau finally arrived.
Do you recall how France tried to screw the US during the peace negotiations? Our friend France. Many French people have been great friends to the US, but France has never been our friend, simply an ally when it was convenient for them.
During the French Revolution the Americans sent a delegation to try to plead for the life of Lafayette, still considered a hero in the US, but he had already been killed. They did succesfully plead for the life of his wife. Thanks France.

It always makes me laugh when i hear someone speak of the French Greatness under Louis the 14.
They never add that the French paid for this greatness on the backs of the african slaves working in the sugar plantations of Santa Domingo.
The French troops who allied America during the War for Independance were made up of slaves from that region formed into an army by Lafayette. This same army beat the crap out of the largest military expedition to ever cross the Atlantic into the Americas, the invading army of Napoleon.
And so Haiti was born. And France has been going downhill ever since.

Well killer,
Your last post is slightly less lenghty this time then the collected works of J.J.R. Tolkien. Now just work on the truth aspect, and drop your belief that the only way to world happiness is via the utopia perscribed by Mr. Pol Pot.
