ENOUGH

Some trolls, decidedly without any manner and certainly without any LIFE, are having fun continuing wasting our bandwidth... That's enough. I've been too nice too long.

MARC LEVIS or whatever is your real name:
I'd like to know, how does it feel? How does it feel to be a 100% hypocrite? How does it feel to use the computers of your company to spam us? How do you think your employer, DASSAULT (tiens tiens), will react? How relevant is it to use the computers and the Internet connection of your company to post on blogs? We have here a record-breaking list of your comments, posted almost everyday for the last 5 months, including insults and racist comments against several people of the world. Btw, posting from the same computer with different names won't save you.
You've been too far Levis. Now you're gonna regret it. Bitterly.

The same applies for others.

UPDATE: One French troll is now trying to send me personal messages to get me to answer. Vous me prennez vraiment pour une conne, c'est ça ? I think I'm gonna have a little fun. Esto no pasa. Su mentira no ha sido creída. Al buen entendedor, con pocas palabras basta.

Hmm, Dassault? So the self-proclaimed "peacenik" turns out to be one of Saddam's former suppliers. And not the least of them.

That's absolutely, er, "priceless".

That said, we must understand Marc Moron. He's just lost so many clients that he has more than enough time on his hands now. And the worst is yet to come.

Bribing Third World dictators so they buy your junk is not a valid business model anyway, and it was doomed to fail. But that’s beyond Missile Marc’s understanding.

Actually, in case he doesn't know where to stick all these unsold warplanes before registering to the employment agency, I have an idea.

Now go go go Carine! It's frag fest! Smash 'em!

I can foresee a sudden increase of French unemployment figures but considering the waste of space these people represent, it does mean “improvement for the companies that had them on payroll” as well, and therefore, improvement for the French economy.

I’m sure Marc Moron from Dassault Weapons of War and other pitiful and irrelevant General ‘Societists’ slackers would agree with me that it’s a good thing.

Won’t they?

Nice work!

ML and "Pierre" are such boors and oh, so French.
So how are you going to do your job when they take away your computer Mark?

Perhaps your new job will require a mop and broom and not a keyboard and monitor?

Posted by: Apache on September 4, 2003 06:24 AM

You're right Carine, I've been too far.
The high level of hyprocrisy reached in this blog made me loose my nerves today.

Some people went here to debate, but mostly I was disappointed that only bashing counted for the majority.

My mistake was certainly to try to adapt to their level, and I entered in the "bashing" game also.

Primary I was coming to this blog with the simple e intention to understand why france is hated in the US. I got some answers, I don't think they are all valid, but at least, I wanted to know what is in the mind of Americans people.
I'm not at all anti-american, I 'm against some americans.

You were also too far, revealing for example the name of a company I work for ( in fact I work for a contractor of this firm).

Anyway, from my side, I apologize for the copy paste incident.

Posted by: Marc Levis on September 4, 2003 07:12 AM

Marc:

NOW you apologize?

NOW? Only NOW?

Now that Carine has decided to suffer fools no longer and defend herself and the other authors at Pave, all of the sudden, you APOLOGIZE?

Your sincerity is touching. Right.

Pierre,

I have just two questions for you: Do you run your own blog? If yes, I'd like to have the URL, please. I promise I won't spam you.

Oh, btw, sorry but your last comment has nothing to do with this post. Communication between trolls is not forbidden, it just has to be done elsewhere. For the very last time, this is not a forum.

Posted by: Carine on September 4, 2003 11:05 AM

Kodiak, your message is a bit naive regarding the origin of, rationale for, and reasonable use of, blogs. They are not democracies. They have an all-powerful leader who sets the tone and rules and discussion scope for the blog.

I'm not going to bash you...but I will respond. With respect.

1) Carine runs this place. She started it. She owns it. Thus, she can make the rules as she sees fit. If you don't like the rules, start up your own "I hate Carine" blog, or just don't stop by here. If she has to delete stuff (yes, that *is* censorship), it's because she feels, as the OWNER AND MANAGER of the blog, that the deleted material is irrelevant to the discussion at hand. She's the boss. Play by her rules or scram. Simple, that. No democratic rules apply on her space...unless she wants it that way.

2) Regarding foreign language usage. If I were to go on a visit to Nepal and hold forth in English, I would be wasting my time, and the audience's time, wouldn't I? It's not francophobe or dictatorial to ask that one communicate - as best one can - in the common language of the blog. Please don't even start with the language thing...France actually has an official Ministry that is tasked with keeping all foreign influences out of the pure French language. So please, do not lecture us on openness to other languages or cultures; As an independent individual, you may or may not have a point...but as a representative of the French people, you've not a leg to stand on.

Regarding spelling mistakes, most of us are reasonable folks. If your English is a little weak, but your logic is sound...shoot, that's awesome. Thanks for sharing with us. If your spelling is bad because you're just ranting at an infantile level, well, we don't have time for such spew. Monkeys can hit keys on the keyboard, too...but they don't communicate anything of worth, either.

Bear in mind that in cyberspace, one's spelling and communication skills are the first indication of intelligence and thoughtfulness. When your writing is full of careless errors, you appear uneducated, stupid and ignorant...why on Earth would anyone waste time reading such drivel?

3) "Ja mein Führer! Zum Befehl!": I don't know what Zum Befehl means (and I really don't have time to look it up right now)...so I won't comment on that. However "Ja, mein Fuhrer" is patently offensive, at least to me it is. No, I'm not Jewish, nor am I overly sensitive. Perhaps your own mother and father got comfortable with saying that phrase, Kodiak, but the rest of the world stopped thinking it was cute some time ago. It's pretty-much considered as infantile and ignorant these days. Please reconsider your ease with spewing that. Considering the rampant anti-semitism emanating from France these days, I would think you would be a little more sensitive to your own country's image...instead, you really made me think that this trait is more prevalent than I had previously thought. How thoroughly ignorant and/or callous of you. (I said I wouldn't bash...sorry I broke my promise, but that comment was too offensive to ignore)

Must get back to work now. I don't have a 35-hour work week.

Posted by: SpewNotAtAll on September 4, 2003 11:10 AM

SpewNotAtAll,

Thanks for your comments. I'd just like to say that I don't run this place, neither did I started it or own it. The masterminds behind Pave France are Josh Mercer and Mike Krempasky. I just participate in this site.

But your argument remains valid of course. We, at Pave France, are not going to let some people with no life run this place. If they have to learn the hard way, so be it!

Thanks for the support :)

Now go go go Carine! It's frag fest! Smash 'em!

Don't worry, my motto is now to take no prisoners :)

I have had occasion to correspond with Pierre via E-mail. I have taken a liking to him. Perhaps we dissagree on some points But given the chance meeting I would drink beer with him

Marc on the otherhand would fit in well with Hamas. Ready to resume reasoned discourse after the Missles hit.

Posted by: J.Mayeau on September 4, 2003 01:14 PM

Marc Levis was something like the Pave mascot troll. Our very own resident crazy French person.

I was disappointed to learn he was behind the recent "cut-and-paste" stupidity.

Other than his first apoplecic posts -- and as dead wrong or cock-eyed or simply impossible to follow as his subsequent posts are -- he had not been malicious or unduly rude to my knowledge. His crazy-quilt rebuttals were more amusing than annoying -- unless you mistook him for a serious provocateur or worthy adversary.

C'est dommage.

Dialog instead of pure bashing may make disappear misunderstandings, or ideas made in advance.

You just don't get it. You don't get it, it is not about the cut and paste post?

Hi to all

To Carine
Thanks for your interest.
I don't have a blog site for now. my website(s) are here;

A virtual web gallery with several artists, it is not updated since a while due to lack of feedback (not the problem here :=).
My own artwork is in flatt gallery
http://flatt.free.fr/galerie/galphp/galerie.php

I made another website for artwork from a good friend, Malcolm here:
http://perso.wanadoo.fr/kierkegaard/

Eh... Nothing to do with polytics. I don't have any polytic CONVICTION. Just beyond the polytic things made of power, authority and ambitions are the HUGE HEAVY consequences on so many people... And these consequences brings me questions, feeling and most often drive me to bang my head against the nearest wall! This make me a troll for all convinced militants who "took side".
Another concern for me is what bloody mess are we leaving to our kids ?! At 47, I am a guy who could enjoy a full life in a peacefull part of the world. I would like to "leave the place as clean as I found it when comming in". Looks quite unrealistic utopia today...

To John Mayeau

Thanks for your friendly way. That's all good for the beer !! Here we can forget French product's, Exept some exceptions like the Janlain, most French beers are insustial cat's piss without taste and soul.. THE best brewer's country is Belgium with their Gueuse , Triple Leffe, Chimay, Trapiste and so much others.

To Marc, Kodiak and all compatriots.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We share our love for our country, You bring here ideas, Analysis, (ex: link between Iraq war and terrorism from Saud arabia) and most often show open minds but BEWARE : Trying to understand is already disobedience !
Last but not least TO COZMOGIRL...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Aaah Cozmogirl, how to tell ? you LOATH and BASH, not a problemn it"s fun ! Behind all your **BEEP** there are guts and hart. BUT you still refuse to disclose the secret formula of Cosmopolytan Martini... AWFULL, NASTY. How can you be that harsh ?

Salut à vous tous.

J.Mayeau,
No , I got your e-mail, no problem. My adress is valid.

Carine,
I'm not the "troll" who send you personal messages.

I don't speak spanish also.

I have some good news and bad news. First the good! Your blog has had over 800,000 visitors and thats an incredible number as blogs go.
Now the bad:( Your blog has lost over 750,000 visitors since July. Thats an incredible drop also. This might be a record for blogs check out your rank at Alexa.
These readings could be scurilous.

Denying any anti-American sentiment on his part, actor Johnny Depp (news) said on Thursday that quotes attributed to him as likening the United States to a "dumb puppy" were inaccurate and taken out of context. "I am an American. I love my country and have great hopes for it," Depp said "It is for this reason that I speak candidly and sometimes critically about it. I have benefited greatly from the freedom that exists in my country and for this I am eternally grateful."
German Journalists screwed Depp over. You know it sure sounds like enemy territory over there in Europe. Bet Johnny isn't giving any statements to stern magazine soon. Read the rest at Merde in France.

Wow, the day summer holiday ends, the number of postings gets way out of hand. And I had not the time for even one since then. It seems I'm one of the few who visit here on while on holiday. This creates a dilema, as how can a be a fair weather poster when it rained all Labor Day weekend?

Posted by: Charles on September 5, 2003 07:12 AM

Thank you, o great ones. Trying to scroll through cut & paste mindless rantings was a bit much- a sort of thing which can inhibit speech.

Posted by: Mr. Blue on September 5, 2003 08:20 AM

Hey Carine,
You rock Chicka.
And to Pierre etc. Sorry never will I give you the recipe for a Cosmo. As I said if you have an ability to do anything on your own and American men do, and now it is obviously to me that Frenchies and Eurotrash do not, get the recipe for yourself.
As for everyone else...what can I say..I call it as I see it, if you don't like it TOO BAD!

Posted by: Cozmogirl on September 5, 2003 11:35 AM

And one more thing...I have better things to do than have a beer with the likes of Pierre etc.
Who on earth as a good Godly American or intelligent person would want to do that?

Posted by: Cozmogirl on September 5, 2003 11:36 AM

Temperance Cozmo
What you have against beer?

Posted by: J.Mayeau on September 5, 2003 12:38 PM

Cozmogirl expects Pierre to save her grandfather warbuddy, unless he finds a time-machine he'll be doomed for eternity.
Is he also supposed to distil the alcool alone to look more american?

Posted by: Avenger on September 5, 2003 01:10 PM

I am of German extraction. And of course that being the case, I like beer...a lot..but alas since I like staying in shape my intact of the amber libation has been limited lately.
And I didn't say I wouldn't drink beer just not with Pierre etc...:)
Pierre saving my DADS friend??? Ha ha ha!!! ROFLMAO!! Actually it would have been the other way around...Pierre unwilling to extricate himself from the hopeless situation he has found himself in again...surrounded by Guderians Panzers, calls Roy Young and the 1st Infantry division and the First Armored Brigade to save HIS scrawny..butt and expects as Pierres always do that there is no reciprocity in the venture...
as in the Americans and Brits once again come to save my butt from the claws of the terrible Boche however we have to do nothing for the Americans and the Brits in return...in fact being bed buddies with the Boche is what we Frenchies will do...;)

Posted by: Cozmogirl on September 5, 2003 01:51 PM

Cozmo ,you're harsh ,he could at least try to patter or taunt the germans and then jump in a bush .
Just threaten him to get the heck in the time-machine and improvise .Then teleport him at the right place between the US and german positions.
And one case less:)

Posted by: Avenger on September 5, 2003 04:07 PM

Pierre is Going to buy

So what you think now Cosmo ?

Thirsty«

Posted by: J.Mayeau on September 5, 2003 06:21 PM

No , Pierre is going to pay :)
Anyway i think the idea doesn't seem to entice Cozmo,so Pierre is safe.

Cozmo , you said you had german extraction (father side?) , if that's the case , did'nt he find weird to fight with his ancestors?

Posted by: Avenger on September 5, 2003 09:16 PM

Do you honestly believe that ancestral lineage is on anyone's mind when they are in a firefight?

Posted by: Gunsniper on September 5, 2003 10:03 PM

If my family name is Shopenhauer , and i kill someone called Fritz yes that would be on my mind.
Maybe i would kill a cousin or one of his friends.
Though war isn't luring ,that's makes it at least worth with this thought.

Posted by: Avenger on September 5, 2003 10:42 PM

Correction :
Let say my family name is Schopenhauer , and i kill someone called Fritz, yes that would be on my mind.
Maybe i would kill a cousin or one of his friends.
Though war isn't luring ,that's makes it at least worse with this thought.

Posted by: Avenger on September 5, 2003 10:48 PM

Nice hypothetical.

To answer that, someone who is dwelling on such things in combat will become a casualty quick.

Posted by: Gunsniper on September 5, 2003 11:00 PM

By far the majority of Americans are decendants of Germans but so are the French and British. I wouldn't think much of it myself. We all came from Adam and Eve right?

Posted by: J.Mayeau on September 6, 2003 12:15 AM

Irish, German, Hungarian, Lithuanian, and Polish are the dominant ethnicities where I grew up. German and Dutch are found south of my hometown into Pine Grove, PA.

Posted by: Gunsniper on September 6, 2003 12:43 AM

Quite a few of the American brass during WW 2 was of German extraction. Ike perhaps being the most famous. Then again, the fight against Germany was as much a war of liberation for the Germans as it was for the French, Dutch, ect.

Posted by: Mr. Blue on September 6, 2003 10:16 AM

In fact , it's depends of the nature of the extraction :
i was much talking of direct extraction.
I mean for instance someone immigrating in the 1920s , who have fought on the axis side in WWI and then having the son to come back on the US side for WWII.This must be weird, knowing this kind of ppl leaved their country for a better one ,but felt somewhere linked to their roots.

Posted by: Avenger on September 6, 2003 11:06 AM

Perhaps some soldiers think about such things when the fighting dies down, but, if a soldier wants to survive on the battlefield such thoughts are shoved aside.

Posted by: Gunsniper on September 6, 2003 11:18 AM

Like I said before,
Nice hypothetical.

To answer that, someone who is dwelling on such things in combat will become a casualty quick.
There is only the quick and the Dead.

Posted by: Gunsniper on September 7, 2003 01:03 AM

Yeah , it's true , that's also a part of the mechanism that makes wars possible and it's sad.

Posted by: Avenger on September 7, 2003 08:10 AM

Hey All,
No my Dad didn;t know much about his family from the old Country. My Mom on the other hand dad was right off the boat from Norway (1908, he came on the maiden voyage of interestingly enough the LUSITANIA) Our cousins in Norway have our lineage traced all the way back to 800ad and King Harald the Fair Haired. And whats funny is that as I said, apparently King Harald and company (pillagers that we were) had a thing for Scottish women and they either stole or married into the MacCleod Clan. So we have Scots blood with the Norwegian blood. Also, my grandma on Moms side family was from Wales. Josiah Hale came from Wales and landed here in 1640. We did some things in the French and Indian war and we got land in Vermont from the King of England. However, the nicities were short lived, as one ancestor (indirect) named Nathan Hale ended up being George Washington's favorite spy. He was captured and hung by the British. He was the man who uttered the phrase, "I regret that I have but one life to give for my country."
So, the immigrints from Germany and Austria, and Norway are represented well in my family as well as the colonials, and rebels. I think all in all, I am a rebel!

Posted by: Cozmogirl on September 9, 2003 10:31 AM

Um, about names for the certain allied nations in World War One, or more better put, The Great War:
Central Powers were Germany, Austria Hungary, Turkey (To name a few)
Allied: France, Britain, Russia (till 1917) USA
Italy, Japan etc.
Axis: Germany, Italy, Japan

Allied: USA, Britain, Russia (Big three)

Interesting note here, when the US landed troops in North Africa they first came underfire not from the Germans, but, from pro-Vichy French troops...just a note...

What services did u (or cousins) use?
PS I have germanic origin too :
my mother came from austria to france ( too bad for me ), she has also czech inheritance..
