Some 150 people, backed by D-day veterans, demonstrated Saturday against plans to build a garbage dump near a site of the 1944 allied landings.The association of veterans of the 46th Royal Marine Commando also expressed their concern in a letter to the regional governor, saying that as the recent 60th anniversary of D-day commemorations showed, thousands of Normandy veterans were still alive, and would be distraught at seeing a dump at a place where French and allied lives were lost in fighting Nazism.
Maizeret lies just outside Sannerville, which was evacuated of its civilian population and then totally destroyed in a massive bombing raid in July 1944 designed to assist a breakout from the landing beaches.
Our warm wishes to the 150 souls who came out for this quixotic demonstration, but what is France to do? There's hardly a square hectare of France that has not been hallowed by blood. The French have put up a stele in Sannerville commemorating the 41st, 46th, 47th and 48th Royal Marine Commandos (stèle du Maizeret).
If there are plenteous other candidate sites without any history in the vicinity, by all means spare Maizeret. Otherwise count America lucky that no garbage dumps have been sited here.
Another fine example of French 'class'. After spilling so much blood to free the ungrateful French scumbags, those elderly veterans are now having to spend their final years trying to prevent a garbage dump from being built on that hallowed ground. Incredible.

It doesn’t really matter. It will only be a matter of years (what, 30?) before the Muslims have desecrated every US serviceman’s grave in France anyway. By that time there will not be any French alive who remember WWII, so what few French remain won’t care either. The entire world, both Muslims and non-Muslims claim that the terrorists have hijacked the religion of peace and Islam does not condone violence. Who is right? The answer to this question is the key to our victory, and failure to find that key will result in our loss and death will be upon us. The key is in the Quran and the history of Islam.
