PLEASE NOTE: The Paris Match cover is a parody. Not that we doubt for a minute its accurate depiction of Jack's thinking.
The Management
Oh, the worried look in JC's eye...
;)
Impressive !!
What was in Bush's sight line to give him such an infuriated face ? A bretzel ?...
Are the bretzels so dangerous for all the tyrants as the caption suggests ? As far as I know Bush is the only one who faced such attack...
The contrast between thos two photos is indeed quite bold. On one side a big mouth frome some one who knows exactly what's wrong, who's fault it is and thus must be neutralized. No problem if it does not work: it is then the fault of some others who's turn is next to come. etc. (Can be used as often as necessary). With such a ready for use toolbox , why hell do you want Bush to THINK ?? This is perfectly rendered by the photo, "go right ahead, don't look right or left, should you find anything unexpected on your way, Push it beside, crush it, eventually turn around it but NEVER, NEVER try to understand.
On the other side, As Valerie, noticed, Chirac looks seriously worried. He even seems to be trying to find a solution by THINKING !! (what a shame !!!).
The solution is obviously hard to find and Chirac seems to ask the photograph telling "And you ? Any idea about this ?"
From what I can make this very clever (almost magic) guess: This photo was not Taken by G.W.Bush)
After reading Pierre's post, something occured to me that I guess I always knew but just didn't grasp!!
Douche is a French word, isn't it?
But OK. Should I be an advertiser looking for a model to promote ties, shampoo or solar cream... Right ahead ! I hire immediately the guy on the left "Y a pas photo!!"
"On the other side, As Valerie, noticed, Chirac looks seriously worried. He even seems to be trying to find a solution by THINKING !! (what a shame !!!)."
Actually Pierre Jack is taking his own advice and taking the opportunity to shut up.
Oooh, judging by Pierre's response, Damian hit a nerve that time. Pierre, methinks thou dost protest to much.
Couldn't be shame at giving terrorsts money to free hostages when Chirac's whole foreign policy was based on the moronic idea that if you appease them, they would leave Frenchmen alone? Instead, the kidnappers took it for what it was, a sign of the pathetic weakness of the French.
BTW, what's a "bretzel?"
What an incredible waste of time. Go work on your novel.
Pierre notices that Bush’s mouth is open and Chirac’s mouth is closed. I know the reason. It is because they were both asked this simple question: “Explain to us what your country has done to bring FREEDOM and DEMOCRACY to the people of Iraq.”
Bush’s mouth is open, enumerating how the US and its allies brought about these things.
Chirac’s mouth is closed, because, well, we all know what the frogs did to help in this matter.
Jack, we are still waiting for your answer...
Couldn't be shame at giving terrorsts money to free hostages when Chirac's whole foreign policy was based on the moronic idea that if you appease them, they would leave Frenchmen alone?
Money? Possible but where's the proof?
And since when terrorists have "left Frenchmen alone"? Muslim fundamentalism did not start on 9/11/01, the day Eye-raki terrorists bombed the world Trade Center, you know.
(They did, right?)
“Explain to us what your country has done to bring FREEDOM and DEMOCRACY to the people of Iraq.”
That's great andy, and I'm happy for Irak, but remind us what was the actual "cause" for the war again? "Freedom and Democracy"?
Is North Korea next (you know, the country that actually has WMD's, no "Freedom and Democracy", and a lunatic tyran thumbing his nose at you), or is Bush's campaign to "spread Freedom" a very selective one only?
Well, zoomer, thanks for telling us what Frogland did in Iraq, no matter what the cause of the war was. The cause does not matter anymore, only the fact that France can be proud that they did NOTHING. N-O-T-H-I-N-G.
If you are so concerned about North Korea, by all means, please tell us what Frogland is doing about North Korea.
Again on that question my guess is that Jack will keep his mouth closed as well....
The cause does not matter anymore, only the fact that France can be proud that they did NOTHING. N-O-T-H-I-N-G.
About what? Finding the "smoking gun"?
There was NOTHING.
N-O-T-H-I-N-G.
The Duelfer report? Two tons of enriched uranium? Thousands of litres of missing VX? Mass graves? Children's prison? Police stations equipped with torture rooms? The biggest scandal in the history of the world? We found lots of things that we said would be there.
In addition, we crushed the Arab nationalist portrait of Saddam and have Iraqis firmly on the road to having the first Arab government which is accountable to it's people; two important objectives in the war on terror. The irony of the only free arab countries being those which are occupied is not lost on the greater middle east.
zoomer, I'm still waiting.
What is France doing about North Korea?
isn't Turkey an Arab Government?
And it is Pretzel not bretzel. You got your "b" upside down.
No need to thank me, glad to help.
What is France doing about North Korea?
Nothing. What do you want France to do? At least criticizing France about Irak makes a more valid argument. And what is the US doing about it except diplomatic talks (oh, and they do have WMD by the way), and only with nations most affected by the crisis, Russia, China and Japan?
And finally, Is North Korea not enough of a world threat led by a lunatic tyran, or is it that "spreading Freedom" only seems to target oil-rich nations?
(except Saudi Arabia, of course) ;-)
ZommerX, I almost can see you marching in the streets in an demonstration to protest the "illegal invasion of NK by imperialist Amerikkkans", with your red flag and ATTAC stickers on your coat.
Hello,
Irak:
A true democratic election under the control of fhe war's criminals troops of her majesty Parker-Bowles !!!
And with the troops of the british doodle, the troops of the war criminal Bush !!!
Britishs criminals out of Ireland and Irak !!
Free Irak !
Free ireland !!
Hey AntiBrits, Irak has just been freed from Saddam, an old time ally of France... By Brits among others!
C'mon antiBrits, the Americans are supposed to be the stupid ones. And you go and ruin it all by your posting that leftest crap.
And finally, Is North Korea not enough of a world threat led by a lunatic tyran, or is it that "spreading Freedom" only seems to target oil-rich nations?
Well, I guess this could cut both ways. I wonder why France did not consider Saddam a "lunatic tyrant" enough to get rid of him. Or does she only support "tryants" in oil-rich nations?
We will see just how far diplomacy works with NK. But, as you know diplomacy only can go so far...(see Iraq).
Speaking of diplomacy, bottled up Iran yet?
