ALERTE À L'ARNAQUE DE FAUX MENDIANTS DANS LES TRAINS
[Warning! Phony Beggar Swindle On The Trains]

December 7, 2005 (BAF) - A man passing for a responsible Chief of State currently circulates in the trains. If you encounter him, he thanks you for paying the €2300 billion debt of his State. And especially asks that you continue to pay your duties and taxes without complaint.

ATTENTION THIS IS A WIDESPREAD SWINDLE. Don't give more, it only encourages him! On this site photographs of the man in question... If you see him, alert us. For everyone's safety, we wish to catch him as quickly as possible.

NATIONAL MENDACITY SCAM MOVES TO TRAINS
Is That A Mask? Is That... Wait! Is That Sarko Under There!

[Upper left panel.] On the train he desposits his small papers with precision.

[Lower left panel.] This is what he may deposit on your seat, be careful!
[Note reads:]

Hello. Pardon me for disturbing you. I am a 73-year-old president. I am responsible for a Nation that has a €2300 billion debt. Please continue to pay your taxes and duties without a peep.

[Right panel.] His smiling face and well-cut suit inspire the trust of his future victims. However, he doesn' hesitate to harass the travelers he skins.

La Brigade de l’Argent des Français (The Brigade for the Money of the French [Taxpayers], BAF) is a small antic crew of scolds and raleurs fiscaux. They conduct guerilla pranks on the over-taxed but docile citizenry and those French living large in the civil service.

We first ran into BAF at E-Nough!, which reported a BAF raid on the civil service job fair at the Palais des Congrès. ("Civil service is recruiting! Even with 22% of the French working population in the public service sector, state, territorial and hospital institutions are still excessively recruiting today.") Evading security the BAF crew wandered the fair to find the most comfortable civil service recruiting booth to pitch their tent, don pyjamas, and sleep -- hoping to be mistaken for genuine public servants.

The BAF motto: When the tax hits, when public expenditure rages, BAF moves into action.

But can a band of civic-minded jokesters save France?

Last year out of 52 countries rated, France once again topped Forbes Tax Misery & Reform Index, which assesses whether policy attracts or drives out capital and talent.* Out of 50 countries rated in the Forbes Employee Happiness Index, France ranked 34 for single employees (salary €50,000, net €33,172), 40 for married high-income employees (salary €200,000, net €110,711), 45 for married exrtravagant-income employees (salary €1 million, net €488,440).**

In 2005, Tax Freedom Day in France arrived July 15.***

* For our franchouilles who can only perceive France contrasted against an Anglo-Saxon foil, the UK ranked 25 and the United States ranked 35 (47 with tax reform) out of 52.

** For our franchouilles who can't be bothered to follow the link, by comparison the UK ranked 19, 26, 27 and the United States 20, 16, 21 out of 50, respectively.

*** For our franchouilles who think the state better spends their money, TFD arrived in the UK on May 31. America's TFD arrived on April 17.

They conduct guerilla pranks on the over-taxed

Sitting at home today in the snow, I decided to do my taxes. Yikes, what a wake up call!

Damian, are you sure it is just the French who are over-taxed?

Bonjour,

Good luck for yourn country in Irak !

PS:Décidemment , vu les derniers tabassages d' Irakiens par vos caniches ,nous sommes de plus en plus nombreux en France à penser que vous le faites exprès pour nous désarmer vis-à-vis des gangsters de l' Islam …

Well, I’m going to answer this like you do, Chavista. You see, if there is something wrong, simply blame someone else. Chavista, unsurprisingly, you blame the US or the Brits for any of France's ills. So let me see if I can answer his question by blaming someone else…like the EU.

Our indebtedness reflects the strength of the US economy, in comparison to our other trade partners—such as the EU. The US economic growth has been extremely brisk, and thus, American consumers are purchasing many more imported items than we are exporting. However, rather sluggish growth in economies such as the EU has reduced the demand for US goods overseas. So we import more than we export, and, have to borrow to make up the difference (trade gap).

But, if the EU would get its unemployment rate down and THEIR economy up, so they could purchase more of our goods, we would have to borrow less and it would reduce our debt!!!!

See, the debt is NOT OUR FAULT. I blame the EU! Hey, Chavista, it’s pretty easy to blame someone else all the time, no?

I like the writings of this GREAT French economist, Frédéric Bastiat (1801-1850)…but he is not very popular in France…..tell us why, Chavista :)
They have his writings in French and in English, so everyone can enjoy!
Economics sure is fun!

Well, Chivasta if I follow you, correctly, you are blaming the US for British soldiers (poodles) caught in a video shown beating the Iraqis, and you think the US did this in an attempt to discredit France?

Wow, that’s some theory you got there….but I’ve got a better one.

We have been trading proverbs lately, so stop me if you’ve heard this one. It’s an Arabic proverb that goes:
“A falling camel attracts many knives”. I think that the gangsters of Islam see France as a falling camel, and they feel no need to stop knifing. And it has very little to do with the US.

Good luck with the muslims, and thanks for calling us “Yankees” again. It had been a while:)
