Becoming Electable

Will Ségolène Royal make an honest woman of herself by proposing to François "Le Lâche" Hollande? Will M. Hollande say, "Oui"?

WEDDING HINT BY RELUCTANT ROYAL

PARIS July 1, 2007 (Telegraph) - Ségolène Royal, the Left-wing politician tipped to become France's first woman president, hinted yesterday that she may wed the Socialist party head, Francois Hollande, after living with him for 25 years.

Miss Royal, 52, has had four children by Mr Hollande, 51, and the couple have until now never publicly declared any intention to marry. But during a trip to Brittany, Miss Royal said she was considering marrying her partner in a civil ceremony this summer, which would be a "strictly family affair".

She previously described marriage as a "bourgeois institution". But both members of France's most high profile political partnership are vying for the Socialist nomination for next year's presidential elections and taking marriage vows could prove popular with more traditional voters.

Talk of marriage came the day after Lionel Jospin, the former prime minister and the only man with a chance of beating Miss Royal in the Socialist presidential primaries, announced that he was "available" for selection.

We are old-fashioned enough to find Mme. Royal's fob to France's old-fashioned paisans a bit cynical. But we are sports, so here is something old, something new, something borrowed, and something bleu.

Bonjour,

Les perversions sexuelles américaines illustrées par Clinton avaient plus de "piquant" indeed ?

Good luck to ? your country in Irak !

A brilliant (and necessary) political move.
She should marry Prince Albert of Monaco and help merge the two countries. Isn't that what "royal" marriage is about?

Bonjour,

Well, professeur, I don’t think you will find many Clinton fans among the ‘mercains on this site!

In honor of Clinton and politicians, and power, and sex, a little poem here that reminds me of all.

Ou vous savez tromper bien finement,
Ou vous m’aimez assez fidèlement,
Lequel des deux je ne le saurais dire ;
Mais cependant je pleure et je soupire,
Et ne reçois aucun soulagement.

Pour votre amour j’ai quitté franchement
Ce que j’avais acquis bien sûrement ;
Car on m’aimait et j’avais quelque empire
Où vous savez.

Je n’attends pas tout le contentement
Qu’on peut donner aux peines d’un amant,
Et qui pourrait me tirer de martyre.
À si grand bien mon courage n’aspire ;
Mais laissez-moi vous toucher seulement
Où vous savez.

Sorry :(

We indeed don't know how to drink budweiser if you call this thing beer.

And we indeed don't know how to play football, but we are in semi finals, too bad there the us nor the Uk is in (i'm really sad for UK as they deserved to win Portugal though).
Anyway The Us is the country where football is played with hands.

Truely the US are the best, they know everything and hold the "Truth", never done anything wrong and american citizens are perfect !
they critisized foreign countries but 98% of them never left the states.

I personaly like sarcasm, and critisizing my own government and country, but what i see on your website is just crap it's not even funny, but i must give you some credit, i like the pavefrance theme quite funny.

Your website smells frustration and jealousy, you have little culture.

what you may call hypocrysis i would call cleverness, all this website is about jealousy.

and you dare calling us cowards...you that "freed" Iraq and now the country felt into anarchy.

You who dig in the past of your candidates and judge them on their private lifes .. who care the guy had a lover that does nothing with politics.

I don't say we're perferct, but neither do the us nor the UK, in fact nobody is perfect, but at least we are not stupid enough to boycot your products because of your policy.

"Avant de montrer la paille dans l'oeil de ton voisin regarde d'abord dans le tien"

I'd like to say as a conclusion that i like your country and your people as individuals, but as a whole you're just a bunch of Dorks.

the land of the free is the land of the fear, and our "devise" is not written in english as for the Uk "Dieu et mon Droit".

Your almost as a theocracy as the ones you fight everything controlled by Religious lobby.

In God(michet) you trust,

Gently,

@Andy

Bonjour,

Good luck to ? your country in Irak !!!!

Bonjour,

Well, professor (Chavista), you did notice that your boy Chavez met with Moammar Gadhafi, Ahmadinejad, and the likes of Robert Mugabe at the summit of African Leaders yesterday? These same thugs that France loves and adores, simply because of their anti-American stance. And then, professor, you wonder why the polices of the US are not to your liking? If you sleep with those dogs, you must live with the fleas.
