The intrepid BAF (Brigade de l’Argent des Français) crew has righted another wrong.

LA RUE MUMIA ABU JAMAL REBAPTISÉE

April 26, 2006 the communist town hall of Seine-Saint Denis (Banlieue de Paris) named a city street Mumia Abu Jamal [né Wesley Cook].

July 26, 2006 the BAF visited the spot to re-name the street Daniel Faulkner, the young police officer killed from behind by Mumia, who was pronounced guilty by a unanimous jury.

Click the headline link for a documentary video and statement by BAF confuting the "dark America" cant of Mr. Cook's apologists. Mr. Cook's aggrandizing himself as a "political prisoner" because of his stint as a Black Panther is laughable given the openly public lives and successes of other former Party chairs, ministers, and members. A common objective in locking up political prisoners is to silence them. Yet Mr. Cooke writes, publishes, and makes statements freely.

Mr. Cook is not in jail for his opinions. He is in jail because he murdered Officer Daniel Faulkner.

Mumia/Cook isn't in jail any more. He caught the needle and hopefully is now roasting away merrily in Hell!

Sadly, no. Mumia is still contributing to global warming by exhaling carbon dioxide several times each minute. A court vacated his death sentence in 2001, commuting it to life in prison, but denying him a new trial. Both sides are appealing the decision.
