JOSPIN WON'T RUN FOR PRESIDENT IN 2007

PARIS September 28, 2006 (Scotsman/Reuters) - Former Socialist French prime minister Lionel Jospin said on Thursday he would not be a candidate in the 2007 presidential election.

... "I can confirm, it's 'No'," Jospin told RTL radio when asked whether he would be a candidate in the 2007 poll.

Poor Comrade Michel. He failed the bikini test. The bikini test is baring onself to the extremities of decency before the public and gauging the applause.

Running second (15%) to Mlle. Royal (51%) in the polls, M. Jospin is the first of the Socialist competition to realize the obvious. And he was 5 points ahead of the next nearest contender. One wonders when the others will catch on.
