UPDATE 02.25.07: It's all official-like.
JEAN-MARIE PEN [SIC] SE PRÉSENTE
COMME LE CANDIDAT DE LA "VIE" ET DU "PEUPLE"
[JEAN-MARIE LE PEN PRESENTS HIMSELF
AS THE CANDIDATE OF "LIFE" AND THE "PEOPLE"]
Jean-Marie Le Pen presented himself, Sunday February 25, as the candidate of the "people" in a France threatened by "general impoverishment" and of "life" facing ecological threats to the planet. The candidate of the FN, whose speech in Lille encroached at times on the preserves of the far left, also expanded on "visible" and "invisible" dangers, toward which, according to him, the planet is headed.
A bigot, a Holocaust-trivializer, a closet facho, a frustrated colonialist, and now this, Al Gore réchauffé. What is your predilection? M. Le Pen is ready to be your whore and serve France. He only asks for your vote.

PAINTED POO PARTY IN LILLE
Could FN Do Worse? The Astonishing Answer, Yes.
M. Le Pen has called the faithful to Lille this weekend.
We doubt there will be many banlieusards attending. And yet, where else but the banlieues is M. Le Pen to find his April surprise, his "tsunami" of indigation? Pave thinks he is to be bitterly disappointed by the disaffected. Among the caliphate-in-waiting, jihad has no democratic political dimension. And among the non-jihadi, there is the unshakable feeling that M. Le Pen's reforms will resemble something like this.
But M. Le Pen whores on.
SEPTEMBER 11 JUST LIKE DRESDEN, SAYS LE PEN
PARIS February 23, 2007 (Telegraph) - The French presidential candidate Jean-Marie Le Pen provoked outrage among British veterans yesterday when he compared the September 11 attacks on the United States to RAF-led bombing raids during the Second World War.The National Front leader said both were "terrorist acts as they expressly targeted civilians to force military leaders to capitulate". Mr Le Pen, 79, also dismissed the al-Qa'eda atrocities in 2001 as a mere "incident".
He told the Roman Catholic newspaper La Croix: "Three thousand dead — that is how many die in Iraq in a month and it's far less than the deaths in the Marseille or Dresden bombings at the end of the Second World War."
Dead Americans? Three thousand dead — that is nothing compared to the French murdering the French during a national makeover.
Praising those Muslims who condemned the attacks on New York and Washington, Mr Le Pen said: "The September 11 event, or one could say incident, prompted a certain number of people to distance themselves [from Islamic extremism] to avoid falling under the barrage of accusations that was unleashed."
M. Le Pen makes it sound as if the accusations didn't prove out.
[Sur le moment, l’événement du 11 septembre, pour ne pas dire l’incident, a conduit un certain nombre de gens à prendre leurs distances pour ne pas tomber sous le coup des accusations qui étaient alors lancées.]
If there is nothing in the above that offends you, well, M. Le Pen humbly asks for your vote.
La Croix appears to have removed the worst remarks except for M. Le Pen's 09.11 toss-off.

Why does everyone get upset about Jean-Marie?
I beg you to think of the entertainment value (very high) with Jean-Marie as president.
I despise 90+% of what J-M stands for, but I hope he wins the presidential election. It would serve the French right for their idiotic double election system. What is wrong with "first past the post"?
