“Dallas is leading the way with market events that balance good business with good health,” said Cindy Morris, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center. “We have tremendous support from our community of customers as we create events that are not only inspiring, but safe,” said Cindy Morris, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center. “We are ready and excited to deliver a Total Home & Gift Market that allows for buyers to easily, efficiently, and safely find what they need for their business to thrive.”
Pre-registration, which is the exclusive method to receive the FastPass for contactless entry, is now available at dallasmarketcenter.com.
During the month of January more than 150 new and expanding showrooms will debut in Dallas, including iconic names and exciting new companies. Highlights can be found here.
A full list of new, expanded, and relocated showrooms is available in the latest issue of Spark magazine, which will arrive in mailboxes and inboxes in December.
The Temps at Total Home & Gift Market, which runs January 6-9, will present hundreds of new and returning exhibitors. Buyers will explore a full marketplace of Temps with four distinct neighborhoods to discover hot new products and brands.
- Trade Mart 1: Luxe Gift Temps
- World Trade Center 12: Gift, Home & Design Temps
- World Trade Center 13: Apparel & Fashion Accessories
- Market Hall: Cash & Carry, Artisan Cash & Carry, Vintage Home Décor, Antiques
Supporting the comfort, health and safety of all attendees, the market center continues measures that include mandatory face covering and temperature screening for every person entering the marketplace every day. Other efforts include enhanced cleaning with hospital grade products, hundreds of hand sanitizing stations, limited food service, no gatherings, and signage for social distancing. Along with these new steps, there are safety measures that are part of the design of the marketplace: open parking, large entryways, quick registration in multiple areas, wide hallways, multiple escalators to each floor, and showrooms with controlled access to allow for the appropriate distance between customers.
Dallas Market Center partner hotels are offering new, lower rates to support buyer travel budgets. Dozens of hotels, many within walking distance of the campus, are offering updated rates as low as $129 with rates valid until two weeks prior to market, based on availability and are subject to change at any time so please reach out to Market Travel online or by calling 214-744-7444.
Recognizing the need for inspiration and education at a distance, the market will present digital programming before and during the show. Videos, email content, and social media posts will provide product previews and business intelligence from Dallas Market Center and industry thought leaders. While at the show, interactive displays will feature new product insights and business intelligence on demand.
For this year only, Dallas Market Center and ART, the creative home furnishings network, have replaced the annual ARTS Awards with The HEARTS Awards, an event celebrating and honoring those who showed outstanding leadership during the pandemic. Uniting multiple industries for the first time, the event on January 8 will pay homage to 13 “hearts and heroes” of 2020. Up for auction to benefit No Kid Hungry, one of our nonprofit honorees, are 75 dinner plates donated by Rosenthal and reimagined by VIPs spanning Justina Blakeney to Jane Seymour, Thom Filicia, Alexander Julian and Bobby Berk. The auction is live now. More information is available at dallasmarketcenter.com/artsawards.
In addition to in-person events, the market center continues to support omnichannel digital tools and virtual experiences for product discovery and buying anytime, anywhere. Their partnership with MarketTime, the provider of best-in-class B2B software as a service (SaaS) solutions, is accelerating the adoption of MarketTime’s unmatched business management suite for manufacturers, sales teams, and retailers. In addition, a platform for virtual tradeshows and a global B2B ecommerce marketplace for buyers will drive discovery and 24-7 commerce via thousands of products from leading brands across a wide range of categories. A MarketTime Experience Center will be opening inside Dallas Market Center in the coming weeks.
Other trade events this winter include Lightovation: Dallas International Lighting Show (January 7-10); WESA’s International Western/English Apparel & Equipment Market, the AETA International Trade Show, and AETA Temps (January 14-17); Dallas Apparel & Accessories Market, and Kidsworld Market (January 12-15).
