Designer Genevieve Trousdale launches Circaphiles

Interior designer Genevieve Trousdale launched Circaphiles, a platform created to connect industry experts through a private community in an effort to share educational assets, experiences and access to a network of resources, on Oct. 29.

Conceptualized in late 2019, Trousdale has been working to create a platform that can serve as a designer’s right hand.

“Saving time and energy is, arguably, the most common thing any solopreneur or design firm needs. The time-vampires of qualifying new vendors, asking design peers for advice, finding collaborators for projects and educating yourself and your staff will now be accessible in this one central, credible place privatized to the trade,” Trousdale said. “In particular, reviewing vendors and their products has caught the attention of most designers when they hear about the platform. In my humble opinion, I think the greatest part about Circaphiles is that it will be built upon by every single professional and student member. ”

As an exclusive resource, Circaphiles is reserved for the top level of design professionals. The platform’s vendors include curated and personally vetted brands, artisans and service providers drawing upon decades of A-list experience. Circaphiles has enlisted designers such as Timothy Corrigan, Michael Berman, Joshua Rose and Rafael Kalichstein of FORM Design Studio, Jamie Bush, Breegan Jane, Ron Woodson & Jaime Rummerfield, Angela Harris of TRIO Design, Margaret Ash Home & Design, Marea Clark Interiors, Michelle Nussbaumer of Ceylon et Cie, Beth Dotolo & Carolina V. Gentry of Pulp Design Studios, Sara Barney of BANDD Design, Lucia Schito of the Italian Design Council, Danielle D. Rollins, Michel Boyd, Zoe Feldman Designs, Courtney Mcleod of Right Meets Left Interior Design, Daun Curry, Toma Clark of The Antiques Diva, Maryline Damour of Damour Drake, Liz Caan & Co, Laura Hodges Studio, and Colette van den Thillart.

The platform is geared to benefit established design firms within the industry as well as also up-and-coming talent. Circaphiles is striving to immerse future designers by building connections with some of the nation’s most promising talent at universities such as the University of Georgia (Trousdale’s alma mater), Savannah College of Art and Design, UCLA, The Art Institute of California, Rhode Island School of Design, New York School of Interior Design, Parsons, Washington & Lee and more.

To celebrate the official launch of Circaphiles, Trousdale will host a virtual celebration today at 5 p.m. PST/8 p.m. EST. The founding ambassadors will be popping bottles of bubbly, there will be games, prizes, and a variety of breakout rooms to network and interact.
