IMC releases dates, themes for fall TrendWatch program

HIGH POINT – International Market Centers is highlighting more than 120 products from 70 exhibitors during its October High Point Market TrendWatch program.

The program, debuting in advance of the market, includes a series of three half-hour CEU-accredited webinars with a free digital product flip book, created to highlight new and trending product at market.

All three TrendWatch’s webinar sessions will be broke down by this fall’s three themes – Touch Points, Pod and Prologue – and will run 1-1:30 p.m. EST on Sept. 23, Sept. 30 and Oct. 7. Each session will be presented by program curator Julie Smith Vincenti.

“Consumers’ focus on the home has been a certainty in these extraordinary times, whether they have been updating decor, managing a full-on remodel or moving because they landed a compelling mortgage rate,” she said. “This season’s installment of TrendWatch is in synch with these motivations.”

TrendWatch’s three sessions are:

  • Touch Points: A presentation of furnishings that can redefine a room and “possibly alter mood,” according to a release. Corresponding exhibitor products include: Amity Home’s Hudson wool/viscose loop-pile area rug with hatch mark pattern, Arteriors’ Deborah mirror with chiseled black marble crowns, Global Views’ Deco console with beguiling golden finish, Jaipur’s Kaz wool pillow from the Angora collection and Kenneth Cobonpue’s Dragon’s Tail folded paper table lamp.
  • Pod: A look at the work- and study-from-home trends. Corresponding exhibitor products include: Camerich’s Lola sofa bed, Hooker Furniture’s Gamlin armless power recliner, Spectra Home’s Newport conversational sectional with performance-grade canvas and TRRA’s modern walnut wood Nicho desk.
  • Prologue: This trend imagines the evolving style preferences of Millennials. Corresponding exhibitor products include: Eastern Accents’ Indochine Art Deco sham, Pacific Coast Lighting’s Otis table lamp with matte black and gold finish, Peacock Alley’s cotton/linen reversible Honeycomb duvet and shams, Pippa’s Abode, a vivid bright blue wallpaper from Stanton Gray and Tov Furniture’s Maliah pleated gray velvet settee.
