Jaipur Living’s 2021 launches focus on bold inspiration
Acworth, Ga. – Jaipur Living will debut more than 100 rugs across 12 new and six existing collections next month, including powerloomed and easy-care performance constructions.
“We have some really fresh and new powerloomed rugs that aren’t like anything else you would see out in the market,” said director of product development Steven Sorrow.
The global rug and textiles furnishings company has identified four key trends:
- Iconic – rug designs guided by architecture and other man-made formations
- Simply Put – modern solids with subtle textures that simplify design decisions
- Old Modernity – eroded traditionals with a high-end vintage look at accessible prices
- Turkish Sunfades – purposefully-faded designs inspired by Turkish rugs
Among the highlights:
Designer Kavi is introducing two collections. Aakar Natural by Kavi features a geometric mid-century modern pattern makes the collection for modern and transitional rooms. Aakar is a Persian hand-knotted rug of viscose and wool that offers a modern twist on the traditional screen pattern.
The Jaipur WunderKammer collection from new licensee Matteo Cibic takes its inspiration from the archetypical balconies and arches of Jaipur, India. Handtufted in a blend of gray and red wool and viscose, it is designed for modern spaces.
Within the performance portfolio, the popular Polaris collection gets a shot of espresso with 25 new rugs in fresh, updated patterns and colors. Made in a durable 100{6e11cad7ac0545e2324fbf6d445e3b83c9482a898fa074d95dae34b306dc1610} polypropylene construction, these rugs are an easy-care option for homes with kids and pets.
The Jensen collection employs handspun yarn and a rustic knotting technique to create a textural surface. Traditional patterns look both vintage and fresh, and are available in strong or muted colors. The pink and yellow Ziba rug flaunts a medallion design.
The introductions will be shoppable via Jaipur Living’s website in January.
